ANEPROMA PUBLISHES BOOK WHITE OF THE INSPECTION OF WOOD TREATED IN WORK

ANEPROMA –National Association of companies of timber protection- He has edited the "book white of the inspection of wood treated in work". It is a free technical manual that the Association makes available to prescribers as referring to the inspection and control of the treated wood that will receive a work.

"The White Paper of the Inspection of Treated Wood in Work tries to be one more weapon to facilitate and eliminate fears in the use of wood," says José Miguel Solís, Secretary General of ANEPROMA-. From the Association we try to protect the use of wood regardless of its provenance, to prevent poor treatment of it from leading to problems in its duration and benefits. Seek, In short, promote the public image of wood as building material."

When you are going to receive the wood on site, the prescriber needs technical guidance in order to carry out the quality checks. Taking as a reference the current regulations, the guide manual guides you on basics such as documentation and important verifications on the certificate of treatment that should accompany the material, the type of use that wood should have depending on the location you are going to have on the site or the levels of protection and penetration and retention of the protective product, according to the final application you will have the wood. "It is very important to verify that the type of use matches that described in the certificate of treatment," says ANEPROMA secretary and coordinator of this Handbook with Armand Falcó."

Also, the Book includes very useful information about the most commercial and common wood species, regulations related to this activity and instructions for the use and maintenance of wood products. An illustrative flowchart clearly shows the path that the wood travels from its reception until it is verified that it is suitable for the work.

"One of our main objectives in drawing up this Book is to meet a demand from the Administration and "many public companies operating in the rural and environmental world", because they receive a lot of wood and, in general, his staff sometimes hesitates how to control the material," explains José Miguel Solís- The White Paper of the Inspection of Treated Wood in Work can be downloaded for free from the ANEPROMA website (www.aneproma.es), in the "Working Group" tab 1: Biocides"

This is an upgradeable version. Today the Association works within the subcommittee 4 CTN Wood Protection 56 "Wood and Cork" in order to modify a reference that the Technical Building Code makes in the chapter of durability of the wood. "Perhaps in a year and a half this criterion will change and the Handbook should be updated," concludes the Secretary-General of ANEPROMA..
