The National Association of companies of timber protection,  Aneproma, held last Thursday and Friday in Menorca and Ibiza together a new edition of «The Tour of Aneproma» technical lecture series, through the convening of the 5th day «Current state and prospects for the protection of wood in construction». This activity, He has been doing successfully for two years, through the implementation of four days in Asturias, Basque country, Navarre and Extremadura, provides answers to current questions that exist between the Group of professional specifiers (Architects, quantity surveyors, engineers and management) wood, about the potential of this material, the constructive design, the need to use wood treated according to regulations (Technical building code) and the lines for the future in the protection of the wood.

This action, by Aneproma, It is part of an initiative developed by the same entity, and it aims to inform and educate the officers involved in the timber construction. Aneproma for this cycle of conferences featuring expert, Dr. Engineer Manuel Touza CIS wood working in the technology centre, It is responsible for exposing as regards the methodology of the decision making in regard to chemical wood protection, the importance of a proper building design, new opportunities to increase the natural durability of wood and the techniques of inspection and examination to apply to projects of rehabilitation of old buildings whose structure is wood. All this was accompanied numerous real examples, related to the professional activity of the speakers. Also the day took advantage to spread the future lines that will follow the wood protection, trying new and innovative techniques, such as nanotechnology.
