ANEPROMA PERFORMS AN ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROJECT “THE WOOD IN THE RECOVERY OF TRADITION WITH FUTURE”
ANEPROMA, during the execution of the project "Enabling agricultural infrastructures for pastoralist practice and the prevention of forest fires in the region of Valle de Alcudia and Sierra Madrona (Ciudad Real)"developed within the" PROGRAM EMPLEAVERDE (2007-2013) of THE BIODIVERSITY FOUNDATION attached to the MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FOOD AND ENVIRONMENT, and co-financed by the EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND, Performed, since November of 2011 to October of 2012, a environmental awareness campaign, mainly focused on workers carrying out their profession in the region of the Valley of Alcudia and Sierra Madrona, within the industrial timber and agricultural sector, way TOTALLY FREE for those interested recipients.
This campaign allows to achieve the ends pursued by the initiative that bases the project undertaken by ANEPROMA, which particularly for this action are:
Diffusion of the Advantages, characteristics and potentiality of use of the wood as a construction material, and your particular applications for deployment, improvement and rehabilitation of constructions and infrastructures in the agricultural field of the area of action.
Sensitization of the working population regarding the need for the recovery of traditional pastoral and hunting practices, according to innovative management techniques, as a basis for environmental production and management.
Retrieve, boost and stabilize transhumant practices that allow an optimal use of the natural resources offered by the Mediterranean environment.
Fixation of population in areas subject to depopulation through local economic development. For this, a culture and tradition linked to the territory is recovered., as a sign of identity and innovative concepts are provided, for adaptation to new times.
To achieve these objectives, ANEPROMA makes use of different communication tools:

o The durability of wood as a guarantee of conservation

The campaign is developed by delivering the edited materials to the recipients (SMEs and self-employed workers), for the dissemination of knowledge that lies under the initiative of the project. This is how economic development is pursued in communion with the surroundings of the Alcudia Valley, What can and should encourage the development of new activities within already installed business structures, linked to the wood and agricultural industrial sectors and/or beginning of new business activities typical of the area, such as organic productions, innovation by searching for new products for export, based on the high quality of local livestock products, preventive or curative treatment of wood, etc. Similarly,, any worker who is interested in other topics can and should use the advice pathway put in place by ANEPROMA, in topics related to those described or those other particular (search for sources of funding, etc.)
Says Benoit Jobbe-Duval, President of ANEPROMA: "It's imprescindible raise awareness among the working population of the area about the concepts that technically and scientifically support the project we are developing. The use of the wood As construction material has been recovering, in recent decades, the importance that it has historically had and is shown, today, as one of the materials with more future projection. If we take this to the scope of action of our project, the Valley of Alcudia and Sª Madrona, of eminent pastoral tradition, gains even more strength, for it is the material that must be used for the realization of any work of support to the shepherd or livestock, due to its intrinsic characteristics of respect for the environment, to be natural, renewable, recyclable and landscape integration. In addition, the lack of this type of infrastructure or its adaptation to the times we live in is notorious, in which every professional must carry out his work in dignified conditions. But to properly use wood, and with future guarantees must be properly treated, depending on your exposure and risk of biological attack, and this is where ANEPROMA, One more time, is tireless, on the side of information dissemination, pursuing the good use of wood, to ensure the viability of the sector, of the material and offering the user an innovative and durable product".
